Supervisory Duties
- Ensure smooth and efficient estimating process
- Exceed client expectations throughout project duration
- Build relationships to understand client, designer, and subcontractor needs and expectations
- Analyze drawings, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare estimates
- Facilitate collaboration among team members
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders
- Participate in business development activities, presentations, and interviews
- Prepare quantity take-offs and apply unit pricing for material and labor
- Understand project scope through document review and communication with design team and owner
- Prepare value engineering and risk analysis
- Prepare qualifications and assumptions for estimates
- Prepare cost comparisons and reconcile with previous estimates
- Manage subcontractor solicitation and selection process
- Prepare Exhibit B, and/or scope sheets
- Ensure quality control of bids and estimates
- Prepare in-house budget and GMP

Required Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or related field
- 8+ years of experience in Estimating or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience as a Commercial Construction Estimator
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Proficient in Estimating software (Timberline or similar)
- Understanding of the influence of market conditions on pricing
