Supervisory Duties

• Ensure smooth and efficient estimating process
• Exceed client expectations throughout project duration
• Build relationships to understand client, designer, and subcontractor needs and expectations
• Analyze drawings, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare estimates
• Facilitate collaboration among team members
• Communicate effectively with all stakeholders
• Participate in business development activities, presentations, and interviews
• Prepare quantity take-offs and apply unit pricing for material and labor
• Understand project scope through document review and communication with design team and owner
• Prepare value engineering and risk analysis
• Prepare qualifications and assumptions for estimates
• Prepare cost comparisons and reconcile with previous estimates
• Manage subcontractor solicitation and selection process
• Prepare Exhibit B, and/or scope sheets
• Ensure quality control of bids and estimates
• Prepare in-house budget and GMP

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or related field
• 8+ years of experience in Estimating or equivalent
• 5+ years of experience as a Commercial Construction Estimator
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
• Proficient in Estimating software (Timberline or similar)
• Understanding of the influence of market conditions on pricing
