M&A Strategy & Diligence, Sr Consultant

About the role

The M&A Strategy & Diligence team at Deloitte helps clients navigate their most critical moments and transformational initiatives. We provide comprehensive end-to-end support and advisory services, including valuation modeling, cost optimization, restructuring, business design and transformation, infrastructure and real estate, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Develop approaches and frameworks to test deal hypotheses and generate insights that inform client recommendations
• Lead workstream delivery within due diligence and M&A strategy engagements, including presentation development, data analysis, and primary research
• Conduct financial analysis to identify performance drivers and value creation opportunities
• Support corporate and private equity clients across mergers, acquisitions, carve-outs, and partnership decisions
• Contribute to practice development through eminence-building materials and point-of-view publications

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and 4+ years of consulting or industry experience; or Master of Business Administration and 2+ years of consulting or industry experience
• 4+ years of mergers and acquisitions advisory or service delivery experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, carve-outs, or partnerships, including strategy, target screening, and commercial and/or operational diligence
• Experience delivering 5+ commercial due diligence and/or operational due diligence engagements
• Experience working with financial statements and complex financial models
• Ability to travel 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
