M&A Strategy & Diligence, Sr Consultant

About the role

The M&A Strategy & Diligence team at Deloitte helps clients navigate their most critical moments and transformational initiatives. We cover areas like valuation modeling, cost optimization, restructuring, business design and transformation, infrastructure and real estate, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and sustainability. We work closely with clients at every stage of their journey, helping them make confident decisions.

Responsibilities

• Develop approaches and frameworks to test deal hypotheses and generate insights that inform client recommendations
• Lead workstream delivery within due diligence and M&A strategy engagements, including presentation development, data analysis, and primary research
• Conduct financial analysis to identify performance drivers and value creation opportunities
• Support corporate and private equity clients across mergers, acquisitions, carve-outs, and partnership decisions
• Contribute to practice development through eminence-building materials and point-of-view publications

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and 4+ years of consulting or industry experience; or Master of Business Administration and 2+ years of consulting or industry experience
• 4+ years of mergers and acquisitions advisory or service delivery experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, carve-outs, or partnerships, including strategy, target screening, and commercial and/or operational diligence
• Experience delivering 5+ commercial due diligence and/or operational due diligence engagements
• Experience working with financial statements and complex financial models
• Ability to travel 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
