About the role

NCH is an independent, locally governed non-profit delivering premier comprehensive care in Southwest Florida. The Occupational Therapist will assess, reassess, develop, implement, and evaluate a plan of care, providing safe and effective treatment while considering patient input and cultural needs.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients through therapy assessments and re-evaluations, creating a comprehensive plan of care including measurable goals.
• Treat patients of various ages and cultures, incorporating knowledge of growth and development issues.
• Delegate patient care to team members within their scope of practice.
• Document patient care information accurately and maintain a clean, organized therapeutic environment.
• Schedule and re-schedule patients, ensuring accurate billing and authorization processes.
• Communicate with healthcare teams and patients regarding patient status and treatment plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Licensed as an Occupational Therapist in the State of Florida.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Intermediate computer knowledge: proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows.
