LVN - Prompt Care (Per Diem, Temporary, Days)

This is a temporary position. Position Summary: The Licensed Vocational Nurse provides nursing care to clinic patients under the supervision of the Licensed Registered Nurse. The LVN contributes their service to the physical and emotional care and education of the patient and family in accordance with the philosophy and standards of the clinic health centers.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to clinic patients under RN supervision.
• Contribute to the physical and emotional care and education of patients and families.

Requirements

• Six months experience in an acute care setting or one year experience in a non-acute care setting.
• Current licensure with the California Board of Vocational Nursing.
• Current CPR certification.
• Current IV/Blood withdrawal Certification for State of California (obtained within 18 months of hire).
• Current ACLS (within 18 months of hire); current employees have until December 31, 2023 to obtain.
• Current PALS (within 18 months of hire); current employees have until December 31, 2023 to obtain.
• Enloe Basic Arrhythmia recognition course (within 18 months of hire); department tracks completion.

Qualifications

• ACLS Certification upon hire (desired).
• PALS Certification upon hire (desired).

• Demonstrate technical competence, professional clinical judgment, communication skills, and sensitivity for patients and families in crisis.
• Maintain strict confidentiality at all times.
• Pursue ongoing education and clinical skills through classes and workshops.
• Fulfill the essential functions of the position.

Pay

Compensation range: $33.98 - $43.50 per hour; rate of pay based on applicable experience.

Schedule

Variable shift; 12‑hour shifts; variable days off with weekends required; 24 hours per pay period; temporary position.
