Job Duties
- Provides direct patient care according per organizational policies and procedures.
- Prepares patient for provider including vital signs and collection of clinical data.
- Affirms medications to patients, including, oral, injections, IV’s and nebulizer treatments as ordered by provider.
- Aids provider and/or performs procedures in assigned area within scope of practice.
- Documents patient encounters according to nursing policies.
- Reviews preventative guidelines.
- Keeps an inventory and prepares orders for supplies.
- Actively participates in QI activities.
- Provides laboratory (phlebotomy) coverage as needed.
- Performs audits to ensure adherence to regulatory and professional standards.
- Affords assistance with the medication reconciliation/medication refill process relative to the electronic medical record.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Floors to other areas as needed.
Qualifications
- Completion of accredited LVN Program.
- Current California LVN license.
- IV certified or obtains IV certification within 60 days of hire.
- Current AHA or equivalent certification in CPR.
- One year experience in ambulatory care setting preferred.
- Demonstrated effective time management skills.
- Maintains current knowledge and skill in providing ambulatory nursing care as appropriate for patients in the following age groups: Geriatric, Adult, Young Adult, Pediatric and Neonatal.
- Bilingual preferred.

Hours of Work
Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:30 and 5:30.
