LVN - Outpatient-Lvl I - Palm Desert MOB - Primary Care - Full Time
About the role
This position provides nursing care to patients under the direction of a Registered Nurse or advanced practice provider. The role involves observing nursing interventions and assisting medical staff to ensure optimal care.
Responsibilities
- Transcribes physician/advanced practice provider orders and implements changes in the plan of care.
- Administers medications accurately and follows the provider’s orders within the scope of practice.
- Executes treatments such as catheterizations, intravenous catheter placements, and suctioning procedures.
- Communicates with a registered nurse to adjust the care plan as needed.
- Assists with patient examinations and treatments, including draping and restraint.
- Documents observations and patient conditions, initiating emergency procedures if necessary.
- Collects and processes specimens according to policies and procedures.
- Provides non-complex teaching and identifies learning needs and discharge barriers.
- Maintains cleanliness of the nursing station and patient areas.
- Supports patient communication and message management.
- Performs additional tasks as assigned, including orientation of new employees and discharge coordination.
Requirements
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of six (6) months recent experience in direct patient care as an LVN, preferably in settings like Skilled Nursing, Home Healthcare, Acute Care, or Clinical Medical Offices. A High School Diploma or GED is required, along with a Vocational Nurse License (California).
Qualifications
- Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association.
- IV Certification and Blood Withdrawal Certification preferred.
Skills
Skills assessments and validations are used to ensure proficiency in caring for specific age groups, such as infants, adolescents, and the elderly. Proficiency in identifying special needs and behaviors associated with different patient populations is essential.

Pay
$33.7 - $36.46 / hour
Schedule
Rotating weekends, holidays, and floating shifts within the established seniority section. Full-time schedule with 40 weekly hours, working from 08:30 AM to 05:00 PM.
