LVN - Licensed Vocational Nurse

Role Overview

Provides patient care under supervision of physicians or registered nurses, adhering to established standards and practices. Performs basic clinical duties, including obtaining vital signs, weighing patients, collecting specimens, and assisting with examinations and procedures. Supports patient flow within the clinic and assists providers with medication refills, administering medications and immunizations, and documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform clinical tasks such as vital signs, specimen collection, and assisting with procedures.
• Answer phones, record messages, and support scheduling and coordination of tests and results.
• Maintain cleanliness and restock exam rooms and equipment, following sterile techniques and protocols.
• Complete clerical duties including chart retrieval, filing, and form completion.
• Assist providers with medication management and patient care activities.
• Participate in meetings, training, and perform other assigned duties.

Qualifications & Skills

• Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in the relevant state or a compact license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Competency in lab procedures and patient care tasks.
• Strong organizational, communication, and clerical skills.
