About the Role

The Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse (LVN/LPN) provides clinical support and nursing care under the supervision of providers and RNs. Responsibilities include performing procedures such as injections, medication administration, EKGs, and phlebotomy, assisting with patient education, coordinating care, documenting assessments, and ensuring a safe, confidential environment in compliance with standards and policies.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing procedures within scope of practice
• Implement patient education plans and coordinate care
• Document patient assessments and care accurately
• Collect lab samples, manage medications, and ensure infection control
• Assist with patient intake, preparation, and follow-up care
• Maintain a safe and respectful environment following standards and policies
• Prepare patients, collect data, and relay information to providers
• Maintain infection control and documentation accuracy

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Current LVN/LPN license and BLS certification
• Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
• Proficiency with electronic medical records
• Effective communication, customer service, and emergency response skills
• Ability to perform medical procedures, including injections, phlebotomy, and IV therapy (if certified)
• Physical ability to handle equipment and perform duties safely

Certification in IV therapy is preferred.
