Role Overview

The LVN/LPN provides clinical support and nursing care under the supervision of providers and RNs.

Responsibilities

• Performing nursing procedures (injections, medication administration, EKGs, phlebotomy)
• Assisting with patient assessments
• Documenting care
• Coordinating patient services such as referrals and follow-ups
• Preparing exam rooms
• Ensuring safety and confidentiality
• Following infection control and medication management protocols
• Lab sample collection
• Maintaining a safe environment

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or GED
• Current LVN/LPN license and BLS certification
• Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and electronic medical records
• Effective communication, customer service, and emergency response skills
• Ability to perform medical procedures, give injections, perform phlebotomy, and handle IV therapy if certified
• Physical ability to lift objects up to 25 pounds and operate equipment

Preferred Qualifications

• IV certification
• 2+ years of medical experience
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding
