About the role

Crown Technical Systems, a Flex Company, is a leader in power distribution and protection systems specializing in sophisticated relay and control panels, medium voltage switchgear, and enclosures. We provide customized, turn-key solutions for safe, secure, and reliable power distribution. This role supports our teams in building great products and contributing to our growth as a LV Switchgear Mechanical Assembler located in Dallas, Texas. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will assemble mechanical and electrical components for our switchgear projects.

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret work orders, manufacturing procedures, work instructions, wiring diagrams, and prints to manufacture wiring subassemblies for relay and control panels.
  • Crimp, strip, cut, pull, and bundle wiring according to plans.
  • Ensure wiring is properly labeled and marked.
  • Connect cut wires to components and route wire and cables in an orderly fashion.
  • Ensure quality workmanship of all wires and components.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of experience in wiring or installing electrical or mechanical components OR completion of a technical vocational program.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform work accurately.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing, equipment maintenance, and safety management.
  • Reading comprehension skills with the ability to interpret and follow written directions, blueprints, and engineering diagrams.
  • Basic math skills to meet technical specifications and measurements.
  • Basic understanding of tools (e.g., tape measure, impact drill, wire crimpers, etc.).

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of standing, bending, kneeling, and performing repetitive tasks.
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds at a time.
  • Must have manual dexterity to assemble products or machines as directed.
  • Must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to differentiate between colored wires, tabs, and electronic components.
  • Must wear PPE, such as gloves, safety glasses, hard hat, and ear protection, while working on the production floor.
