LUXURY RESIDENTIAL LEAD TECHNICIAN

About the role

The Luxury Residential Lead Technician will collaborate with Project Foremen, Commissioning Coordinators, and may act as a Lead Technician in the installation of AV, technology systems, solutions, and structured cabling applications. While not all listed tasks may be within your current expertise, training will be provided through industry certification, manufacturer training, and mentorship from the Texadia Systems team.

Responsibilities

• Install, work, and train with Project Foremen and team members on:
  • Rack fabrication
  • Rigging/mounting of structural support equipment
  • Installation of structured wiring
  • Terminating and testing all AV connections/cables
  • Installation and proper placement of all equipment
• Provide feedback and report issues to the Project Manager, Project Foreman, or Lead, assisting in resolving concerns that impact project deliverables.
• Act as backup to the Project Foreman/Lead to submit daily field reports to Project Managers by the end of each shift.
• Learn and understand the construction and AV industry.
• Ensure proper handling and securing of all inventory and equipment.
• Assist with restocking and maintaining cleanliness of company vehicles daily.
• Understand daily project deliverables and milestones.
• Learn and perform troubleshooting diagnostics, reporting issues to the Project Manager, Project Foreman, or Lead.
• Familiarize yourself with network IP addressing.
• Uphold standards, deliverables, and quality control daily.
• Operate AV and technology equipment.
• Return inoperative, damaged, or unused products to the warehouse daily.
• Follow all safety guidelines of Texadia Systems and specific client requirements.
• Maintain a clean and neat job site and work area.
• Mentor and coach Technicians with less experience.

Requirements

• Ability to train/learn to configure IP-based AV devices, including EDID and HDCP settings.
• Ability to train/learn to configure/develop control and DSP system programs.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Ability to train/learn proper wiring and termination skills.
• Follow proper and safe installation techniques for all AV equipment.
• Ability to train/learn construction drawings and follow functional diagrams.
• Read and interpret wiring, elevation, structural, and electrical drawings, and follow the Statement of Work (SOW).
• Demonstrate planning, organizing, and implementation skills to complete projects by specific deadlines.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Teachable disposition with a willingness to learn and expand industry knowledge.
• Flexibility to work outside the job description as needed.
• Clean driving record and ability to pass a background check.
• Analytical and problem-solving mindset with deductive reasoning skills.

• Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
• Willingness to travel for out-of-town projects requiring hotel stays and multiple overnight trips.
• Ability to work day, evening, or weekend shifts.

While most work is performed indoors, occasional outdoor activities may occur daily, weekly, or monthly for short periods in a seasonal, temperature-fluctuating environment.
