Lunch Server

Spectrum Middle School is seeking a part-time lunch server to work at our middle school building, serving meals and carrying out related lunchroom tasks.

Schedule

• Work Days: Monday – Friday (school days only)
• Hours: Approximately 2 hours per day

Responsibilities

• Help prepare for the lunch serving process
• Serve lunches to students, staff, and employees
• Between lunches:
  • Wash tables
  • Wipe down counters
  • Stock salad bar
  • Wipe down microwaves
  • Stock condiment counter
  • Fill silverware stand
  • Empty garbage cans
• End-of-day duties:
  • Wash dishes
  • Tear down salad bar and condiment counter
  • Clean microwaves
  • Wipe down all tables and place to the side
  • Sweep kitchen floor
  • Mop kitchen floor
  • Sweep cafeteria floor
  • Empty all garbage cans

Requirements

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to speak effectively with students, staff, and employees
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
