Lunch Monitor - Paumanok

About the role

Paumanok Elementary School is seeking applicants for a lunch monitor, supervising children of all grade levels (K-5).

Responsibilities

• Actively looking after children during their lunch periods in the cafeteria and recess/play time.
• Maintaining a clean and orderly cafeteria by clearing and wiping the tables once the students finish lunch.
• Escorting students through the school hallways in a safe and orderly manner.
• Ensuring student safety by actively monitoring the children when they are playing on the blacktop and playground equipment.
• Intervening and resolving student conflicts as needed during lunch periods.
• Communicating with the classroom teacher and assistant principal on matters involving the students.
• Other duties as needed during the course of the lunch periods.

Schedule

Part-time position from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on days school is in session.

Pay

Starting Salary: $17.26/hr
