  • Monday–Thursday: 16 hours (10:00 AM–2:00 PM)
  • Friday: 3 hours (10:00 AM–1:00 PM)

Position Summary

Lincoln Leadership Academy Charter School (LLACS) is seeking caring, dependable, and student-centered individuals to join our team as Lunch Monitors. This position plays an essential role in maintaining a safe, orderly, and welcoming cafeteria environment while supporting our mission of developing the mind, heart, and hands of every student.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Supervise students during assigned lunch periods to ensure a safe, respectful, and orderly environment.
  • Build positive relationships with students while modeling kindness, patience, respect, and professionalism.
  • Reinforce LLACS expectations for appropriate behavior, responsibility, and cafeteria etiquette.
  • Monitor lunch lines, seating areas, hallways, and student movement during lunch transitions.
  • Aid students with opening food containers or addressing age-appropriate needs when necessary.
  • Encourage students to demonstrate responsibility by cleaning their eating areas.
  • Wipe and sanitize cafeteria tables between lunch periods.
  • Sweep floors and help maintain a clean and welcoming cafeteria environment.
  • Communicate concerns regarding student behavior, safety, or health to the appropriate administrator.
  • Work collaboratively with administrators, teachers, cafeteria staff, and support personnel.
  • Assist with other lunchroom or student supervision duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience working with children is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to establish positive relationships with students while maintaining appropriate supervision.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
  • Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in a busy school environment.
  • Must successfully obtain and maintain all required Pennsylvania background clearances.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent standing and walking throughout the workday.
  • Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced cafeteria environment with moderate noise levels.
