Position: Lunch Monitor
School: Main Dunstable Elementary School
Reports to: Principal
Starting date: September 21, 2026 (180 days in the 2026‑2027 school year)

Pay

Salary range: $14.91 per hour

Schedule

180‑day contract for the 2026‑2027 school year.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students.
• Ability to work cooperatively with co‑workers.
• Physically capable of actively supervising and/or assisting students.
• Ability to effectively carry out routines and procedures in the cafeteria.
• Ability to communicate with faculty, staff, and administration to resolve issues.
• Prior experience with children is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Follow procedures for an orderly lunch program.
• Notify the school nurse or office in case of a student injury.
• Respond appropriately to student behaviors consistent with the school discipline policy.
• Promote and encourage good table manners, eating habits, and common courtesies.
• Ensure students practice proper cleanliness in the cafeteria.
• Promote a positive cafeteria environment.
• Maintain a safe and orderly environment for students.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the school principal.
