About the role
The Lumberyard Specialist is responsible for managing the supply chain for lumber and other building materials in the Kailua-Kona area. This includes ordering, receiving, storing, and distributing materials to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Responsibilities
- Ordering and tracking material deliveries
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations
- Managing inventory levels to minimize waste
- Communicating with suppliers and customers to resolve issues
- Preparing reports on material usage and costs
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with inventory management systems
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations
