Lumber Yard Foreman - Full Time

About the role

The Lumber Yard Foreman is responsible for overseeing daily operations in the lumber yard, supervising team members, and ensuring excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Directing the yard team and maintaining safety standards
• Assisting customers with product inquiries and loading merchandise
• Sorting and racking lumber by grade and size
• Operating forklifts or industrial trucks for loading and moving materials
• Unloading deliveries and ensuring the yard remains clean and organized
• Adhering to inventory control, loss prevention, and safety procedures
• Communicating customer concerns effectively

Qualifications

• Prior experience in lumber yard or construction supervision
• Forklift operation
• Strong communication skills
• CDL preferred but not mandatory
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 75 pounds
