About the role

The Lumber Contractor Salesperson at PARR is responsible for executing the sales call process and strategies, focusing on aggressive prospecting of new residential and commercial contractors. This role supports PARR's vision to be the supplier of choice for all building material products in the Northwest.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve aggressive sales goals and objectives
  • Work unsupervised and handle high levels of responsibility
  • Prioritize work and manage time effectively
  • Implement PARR's sales strategies and processes
  • Support PARR's purchasing principles and protocols
  • Aggressively pursue the company's best interests when selling to customers
  • Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues
  • Be flexible and adaptable to changing needs
  • Concentrate and attend to detail amidst a busy office environment
  • Willingness to share responsibilities to meet deadlines

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • 2 years sales experience preferred
  • Prior experience in the building materials industry preferred
  • Flexibility to different personality types and work habits
  • Knowledge of building materials and their uses
  • Proven ability to develop relationships that translate into new business
  • Knowledge of PARR purchasing principles, practices, and protocols
  • Ability to meet or exceed aggressive sales goals
  • Tolerance for co-workers and honesty in making mistakes
  • Shoes that are puncture resistant, slip resistant, and made of leather or composite material

Pay

$58,522 - $74,483 annually

Schedule

Both local and overnight travel may be required
