The Role
Faculty at Liberty University are essential to achieving the university’s mission of training champions for Christ. They are expected to model a personal commitment to Liberty University’s goals and values, engage in personal spiritual formation within a biblically informed Christian worldview, and view their teaching, engagement with students, and scholarship as means to an educational end.
Responsibilities
- Create an academic atmosphere of mutual respect and consideration for individual dignity.
- Teach in areas of expertise, maintain the integrity of course and instructional programs, and align delivery with the University’s mission and vision for the student experience.
- Aid in the development of curriculum in both residential and distance education environments.
- Engage in research/scholarship or creative activity, which varies depending on the expectations of their respective college or school.
- Contribute to service to students and their professional discipline.
Requirements
- Earned doctoral degree from an accredited institution in an area relevant to the faculty member’s area of teaching, or a terminal professional master’s degree with evidence of outstanding contributions in the faculty member’s professional or academic field.
Qualifications

Skills
Professors are expected to possess strong teaching skills, ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with students, and a commitment to lifelong learning and professional growth.

$91,500.00 - $144,000.00
Schedule
Contracted for 10, 11, or 12 months (24, 27, or 30 load hours, respectively).
