Lube Technician

About the role

We're hiring a Lube Technician to join our team at Sunset Ford St. Louis. This position offers a variety of benefits including weekly and monthly efficiency bonuses, 40-hour work weeks, employee discounts on vehicles and parts, paid training, retirement benefits, and competitive pay.

Responsibilities

• Check and communicate oil level to teammates
• Ensure tire pressure for proper inflation
• Inspect and refill fluid levels as necessary
• Complete vehicle inspection
• Install a new oil drain plug and a new oil filter
• Clean and lubricate fittings as needed
• Utilize a company supplied computer to document vehicle findings and communicate details
• Provide excellent customer service keeping in mind that our customer's perspective comes first

Qualifications

• Previous experience at an automotive facility or enrolled in an automotive school program
• Strong understanding or desire to learn about automotive service
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Excellent customer service skills
• Basic computer competencies
• Positive, friendly attitude, along with a customer service mentality
• Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
• Team player with ability to collaborate with others effectively
• Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
