LTS Overhead Distribution Journeyman Lineman

About the role

Centuri Group is a utility infrastructure enterprise committed to safely delivering gas, electric, and utility services. As a Journeyman Lineman, you will build multiphase energized facilities.

Responsibilities

• Work on utility poles and fixtures on energized situations
• Write field switching and clearance orders
• Assist Foreman in coordinating jobs
• Follow all customer specifications and follow company safety policies
• Complete required company training, including safety training
• Perform administrative duties as required
• Perform other responsibilities as requested by leadership

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years' experience in the electrical powerline industry
• 3 years' experience as an Apprentice Lineman
• Experience working on Distribution facilities
• Experience working unsupervised in all aspects of utility line work

Qualifications

• Have understanding of controlling equipment, line design, fuse coordination, switching tagging and grounding policies

Skills

• Must be fluent in English
• Work involves prolonged and repeated: lifting (up to 50lbs), standing, climbing, kneeling, reaching, feeling, crouching, crawling
• Work is performed within the “red zone” of heavy equipment
• Working safely requires quick/accurate hand-eye coordination and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner

Work Environment

• Work sites are outdoors in potentially extreme weather conditions
• Work includes prolonged and repeated: lifting (including overhead, up to 50lbs); standing; climbing; kneeling; reaching and feeling; crouching and crawling
• Work is performed within the “red zone” of heavy equipment
• Working safely requires quick/accurate hand-eye coordination and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner

Legal Stuff

• Pass pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion drug screens

• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• Pre-employment medical fit-for-duty test; hold/obtain DOT medical card
