LTL Specialist

Subtitle As an LTL Specialist, you will manage and improve our LTL freight network, working with carriers and internal teams to optimize costs, monitor performance, resolve service issues and ensure on-time delivery. Your profile High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree or professional certification preferred5+ years of logistics, transportation, freight forwarding, or related industry experienceStrong customer service experienceUnderstanding of freight forwarding processes, regulations, and operationsProficiency in Excel, CargoWise, SAP, and related sytemsSelf-motivated, results-driven, and accountableStrong communication and problem solving skills Ability to manage muliple priorities in a fast-paced environmentResults-driven with strong attention to detailEffective time management and organizational skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively across teams Your Duties Manage and optimize LTL operations, ensuring efficient, cost-effective, and customer-focused transportation solutionsBuild and maintain strong carrier relationships, oversee carrier procurement, and negotiate competitive ratesCoordinate daily LTL shipments, including carrier selection, scheduling, tracking, and deliveryAnalyze freight costs, transit times, and service levels to recommend optimal transportation solutionsCollaborate with Sales, Operations, Warehouse, and Accounting teams to ensure seamless shipment executionProcess and maintain accurate transportation documentation, shipment records, and customer invoicesAudit freight invoices, resolve billing discrepancies, and dispute carrier charges when necessaryEnsure compliance with DOT, FMCSA, company policies, SOPs, and quality standardsProvide prompt, professional customer service support via phone and emailParticipate in weekend coverage rotations as neededPerform additional duties and special projects as assigned What We Offer Ready to take your LTL expertise to the next level?
