LTL Shipping & Receiving Clerk

About the role

Coordinates with San Diego Contract. Successful candidate will build TL/LTL freight shipments for third party Logistics (3PL Distribution). Coordination of all activities with Supply Lead, Wave Planner, and warehouse Manager. Verify orders are accurately filled using RF Gun and compare items and quantities of products gathered for shipment and documents and the automated warehouse management system. Ensure shipments are properly packed and properly identified with shipping information. Prepare, process, and keep records of shipments, e.g. manifest bill of lading. Manage operating supplies and equipment. Prepare periodic activity reports to share information with management.

Requirements

• Verifiable high school diploma or GED equivalent
• Prefer 2 to 3 years experience in warehouse logistics
• Ability to operate manual and electric pallet jacks, and also become forklift certified within the company and achieve certification within 30 days
• Strong organizational and math skills
• Proficiency in the use of computers including good working skills with MS Word, MS Excel, email and the internet
• A working knowledge of general warehouse management software will be a plus; current software used is Manhattan Scale
