LPNS Fountain of Franklin Days

Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Prior clinical and recent mental health or gerontological experience is preferred
• Current State Nursing licensure

Skills

• Effective written, verbal, and nonverbal communication skills
• Stable emotional makeup; creative, caring, and able to work under stressful conditions
• Professional conduct, honoring boundaries, setting limits, and maintaining confidentiality
• Able to communicate effectively with staff, families, physicians, and residents
• Able to follow state licensure guidelines regarding all aspects of medications
• Able to make appropriate decisions in difficult situations and demonstrate good judgment
• Able to accurately assess residents’ health status

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to meet physical demands of lifting and moving more than 50 pounds
• Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time

Responsibilities

• Administer medication as prescribed
• Implement the plan of care
• Maintain a safe environment
• Carry out doctor’s orders and provide complete documentation
• Provide coaching, supervision, and assistance to direct care staff
• Provide and supervise basic care for residents
• Role model appropriate interactions with residents, staff, and families to ensure a therapeutic environment

Some weekends and holidays are required.
