LPN- Wound Care Clinic

About the role

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our growing wound care clinic in Jackson, Mississippi.

Responsibilities

• Aid providers with wound assessments, treatments, and procedures.
• Perform wound dressing changes according to physician orders and established protocols.
• Maintain accurate documentation of treatment outcomes in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Educate patients and caregivers on wound care, infection prevention, and treatment plans.
• Obtain and record vital signs, medical histories, and patient concerns.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized treatment environment.
• Care for coordination of patient care and follow-up appointments.
• Manage inventory and order wound care supplies.
• Comply with clinic policies, HIPAA regulations, and infection control standards.

Qualifications

• Current Mississippi Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing.
• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Excellent communication and patient education abilities.
• Preferred: Previous wound care, dermatology, vascular, surgical, home health, or outpatient clinic experience.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR).
