LPN (Windham Center) - Per Diem

About the role

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides safe patient care and supports the plan of care as directed by the Registered Nurse.

Responsibilities

• Follow the plan of care as directed by the Registered Nurse
• Communicate information to the appropriate places
• Perform safe patient care adhering to policies and procedures of Springfield Hospital
• Take responsibility for maintaining and increasing knowledge base in area of practice
• Utilize electronic medical record systems

Requirements

• Graduate from a practical nursing education program from an accredited institution
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the State of Vermont
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification
• De-escalation training and certification (within 3 months of hire)
• One (1) year medical/surgical experience (preferred)
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Strong critical thinking skills

Pay

Base rate: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour. The final rate will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate.
