About the role
The licensed practical nurse performs selected acts for the promotion of health and in the care of persons who are ill, injured, or experiencing alterations in the normal health processes. Such performance requires substantial specialized skill, knowledge, and judgment. All such nursing care shall be given under the direction of a registered nurse. Supportive of Village mission and values.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Licensed practical nurse in the state of Missouri
- Excellent social, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Essential aptitudes include: spatial, clerical and form perception, color discrimination, motor coordination, finger dexterity, manual dexterity, and eye/hand/foot coordination
- Ability to follow instructions
- Excellent time management skills
- Multitasking and problem-solving abilities
- Required to work on all nursing communities in the Village Care Center
- Minimum of 1 year experience (external applicants only; not employed at JKV within the last 60 days)
Schedule
This is a PRN (as needed) position with the following guidelines:
- PRN associates must work a minimum of two (2) shifts per month, including at least one weekend shift (defined as beginning Saturday at 7:00a and ending at 7:00a on Monday)
- Must work at least three (3) of the six (6) holidays per calendar year, as defined by JKV Associate Policy #327
- Failure to meet minimum shift or holiday requirements may result in separation of employment
- Shifts must be scheduled in advance via UKG by the 20th of the prior month (or no later than the 1st of the month)
- Must sign up for full shifts (7a-7p OR 7p-7a); partial shifts may be available after required shifts are completed
- Must work where assigned throughout the care center
- Non-compliance with guidelines in any 3 months within a 12-month rolling calendar may result in separation of employment
