Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm (Days)

About the role

Clinical support position involving direct participation in non-invasive diagnostic procedures including EKGs, PFTs, and vital signs. Maintains patient confidentiality at all times. Includes active involvement in patient triage activities and ancillary medical support functions as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform non-invasive diagnostic procedures (EKGs, PFTs, vital signs)
• Participate in patient triage activities
• Provide ancillary medical support functions
• Maintain patient confidentiality

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing
• Current New York State Licensure
• One (1) to three (3) years’ experience in an acute care or physician office (primary care or specialty) setting

Skills

• Able to work well in stressful situations and conditions of frequent interruption
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of Patient Centered Medical Home, MIPS, and HEDIS requirements preferred

Working Conditions

• Ability to travel to and work at other Trinity Medical facilities and/or physician practice offices
• May be exposed to infections and contagious diseases
• Occasional exposure to unpleasant patient elements (accidents, injuries, illness)
• Contact with patients under a wide variety of circumstances
• Subject to varying and unpredictable situations, emergency or crisis situations, and many interruptions
• Occasionally subjected to irregular hours and pressure due to multiple calls and inquiries
• Handles absentee replacement on short notice
• May be exposed to toxic chemicals due to photocopier
• Flexibility in scheduled working hours/days to meet needs of practice
