Urogynecology practice in Syracuse, NY seeking a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Team Lead for day shift (8:00 am – 4:30 pm), Monday through Friday with no mandatory overtime.

About the Role

The LPN Team Lead promotes and restores patients’ health by assisting in the nursing process and collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members. Under management’s direction, the LPN Team Lead acts as a key clinical resource, providing guidance and support to clinical staff while ensuring high-quality patient care. This role works closely with providers, managers, and staff to foster effective patient interactions and streamline clinical operations, and helps establish and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, colleagues, and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the nursing process to promote and restore patients’ health.
  • Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members.
  • Act as a clinical resource for the team, providing guidance and support to clinical staff.
  • Ensure delivery of high-quality patient care.
  • Work closely with providers, managers, and staff to streamline clinical operations.
  • Foster effective patient interactions and build strong relationships with patients, families, and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Current Licensure as a Practical Nurse in the State of New York.
  • Current Basic Life Support certification.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of professional nursing experience.
  • One (1) year of clinical team leader or charge nurse experience (preferred).
  • Knowledge of state law regarding nursing care, nurse practice guidelines, and office policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrated experience with an electronic medical record.

Skills & Proficiencies

  • Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology.
  • Familiarity with health care systems, regulations, policies, and functions.
  • Understanding of documentation standards.
  • Knowledge of equipment, supplies, and materials needed for medical treatment.
  • Strong teamwork and cooperation skills.
  • Ability to read and follow written and oral medical orders.
  • Skill in initiating appropriate emergency procedures.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience in a physician office (preferred).

Pay

$18.50 – $37.95 per hour, based on experience.

Schedule

Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm.
