About the role
Works under the supervision of the office manager RN or clinical lead and the physicians.
Responsibilities
- Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates total nursing care of assigned patients.
- Provides hands-on clinical care including manual vitals, medication review, injections, and blood draws.
- Utilizes communication, critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making to create a care plan for each patient based on physiological, psychosocial, and cultural diversity.
- May be responsible for supervising and delegating non-professional personnel to ensure optimum patient care.
- Demonstrates competence in addressing age-related needs of specific patient populations served in their assigned unit/dept.
- Works under the direction of leadership and a multi-disciplinary team to provide a comprehensive range of services or clinical care associated with and in accordance with standards of excellence established by Riverside Health System and facility goals and strategic plans.
Requirements
- Licensed Practical Nurse or board eligible by the State of Virginia or compact state.
- Current CPR Certification Required.
