LPN - Surgical

Position Overview

Provides patient care utilizing the nursing process under supervision or guidance of licensed healthcare professionals, ensuring patient rights and confidentiality are maintained. Coordinates care with other departments and maintains professional accountability.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program or possess equivalent education and licensure
• Maintains current LPN license and meets all state requirements

Preferred Certifications

• May include ACLS, PALS, PEARS, S.T.A.B.L.E., BLS, LPN-IV, or other unit-specific certifications
• Some certifications required within specified timeframes

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, push, or pull 50 lbs regularly
• Prolonged standing and walking
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat
