Medical Surgical LPN

Overview

We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in our Medical Surgical Unit. As an LPN/LVN in our Med Surg Unit, you will provide basic nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or physician, focusing on tasks like monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and assisting with patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care services which requires technical and manual skills, within the scope of practice, that meet the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care
• Maintains communication needs of the patient and family
• Performs under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse
• Nurses provide CPR, Patient Care, Update Documentation, Specimens, Wound Care and Vital Signs

Qualifications

• Current and valid Alabama state license as a Licensed Practical Nurse
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current IV certification within 30 days and maintain current
• Additional Qualifications That Are a Plus:
• One year experience in an applicable setting
