Bowling Green Brandywine, a 169-bed substance use disorder treatment center in Kennett Square, PA, provides comprehensive care to adults of all genders impacted by substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health concerns. Our services include medically monitored detoxification, inpatient rehabilitation, and outpatient programming. Features of care include personalized treatment plans, individual/group/family therapies, experiential therapies, specialty tracks, multidisciplinary teams, family support, and detailed discharge planning.

About the role

Provide nursing care and services within the standards and scope of nursing practice, as defined by state regulations, policies, and protocols. Demonstrate a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude while prioritizing patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient health and administer basic care using the nursing process within the LPN/LVN scope of practice.
• Role model customer service expectations and demonstrate urgency regarding patient safety.
• Collaborate to meet patients’ physical, biopsychosocial, age, developmental, and cultural needs; resolve complaints.
• Provide basic patient comfort and implement individualized nursing interventions.
• Apply interventions to progress or maintain patient wellness.
• Discuss care with patients, listen to concerns, and report status changes to RNs and doctors.
• Communicate therapeutically and professionally with patients, visitors, coworkers, and others involved in treatment.
• Ensure safe medication delivery per policies, procedures, and physician orders.
• Maintain professional nursing standards in accordance with facility and external regulations.
• Perform accurate reporting and documentation of patient symptoms, responses, and progress.
• Perform other assigned functions and tasks.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• One or more years of nursing experience within the clinical area preferred.
• Current LPN/LVN license as required by state.
• CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification (training available upon hire).
• First aid certification may be required based on state or facility.

Pay

Hourly rates range from $28.00 to $36.00, depending on years of experience.

Schedule

• Full-time night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM.
• Every other weekend.
• $15,000 bonus for full-time night shift.
