About the Role

The ideal candidate will be an LPN or a Medical Assistant responsible for performing essential clinical and administrative functions to support patient care and office operations.

Responsibilities

  • Identifies and evaluates patient needs by way of telephone triage.
  • Administers medication including injections; documents medication given or prescribed by ordering physician as required.
  • Identifies patient and family education needs and provides instruction.
  • Recognizes and responds to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Adheres to Clinical Services policies and procedures when documenting information in patient’s medical records.
  • Facilitates the flow of patients to maintain the integrity of the physician’s office.
  • Assists the physician with medical office procedures.
  • Maintains the integrity of the office.

Requirements

LPN Specialist Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Practical Nursing.
  • Active Florida license as a Licensed Practical Nurse.

Medical Assistant Specialist Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or 1 year of Medical Assistant work experience within the last 2 years.
  • Medical Assistant Certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
  • Current BLS certification or to be completed within the first 90 days of employment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience or training in Pediatrics.
