LPN SPECIALIST OR MEDICAL ASSISTANT SPECIALIST - PEDIATRICS - FULL TIME

About the Role

We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Medical Assistant to join our clinical team. The ideal candidate will perform a variety of patient care and administrative duties to support our physicians and ensure smooth office operations.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate patient needs through telephone triage.
• Administer medications, including injections, and document medication given or prescribed by the ordering physician.
• Identify patient and family education needs and provide instruction.
• Recognize and respond to emergency situations appropriately.
• Adhere to Clinical Services policies and procedures when documenting information in patients' medical records.
• Facilitate patient flow to maintain the integrity of the physician’s office schedule.
• Assist the physician with medical office procedures.
• Maintain the integrity and efficiency of the office.

Requirements

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of Practical Nursing.
• Active Florida license as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Preferred: Experience or training in a medical healthcare facility as an LPN.

Medical Assistant (MA) Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or 1 year of Medical Assistant work experience within the last 2 years.
• Medical Assistant Certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
• Current BLS certification or to be completed within the first 90 days of employment.
• 1 year of experience in a primary care setting.
