LPN Shift Supvervisor

About the role

The LPN Supervisor position at The Bristal Assisted Living is a leadership opportunity within a supportive and caring community. You will lead a team of healthcare professionals, providing compassionate care to residents while ensuring their safety and well-being.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, mentor, and nurture a team of nurses, HHA's, resident care aides, and medication technicians
• Provide caring and attentive help to residents in managing their activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Administer residents’ medications under the guidance of the Director of Wellness
• Act as shift supervisor in the absence of the Director, ensuring the smooth operation of the Wellness/Resident Services Center
• Lead the team in caring for residents with skill and genuine kindness
• Ensure adherence to all policies and procedures and follow the instructions of the Director of Wellness
• Assist residents with Alzheimer's disease and dementia, if applicable

Requirements

• Staff supervisory and medication oversight experience, preferably in an assisted living, nursing home, or similar environment
• Active LPN certification
• A genuine desire to improve the quality of life of residents

Qualifications

• Caring, reliable, and observant
• Understanding of MAR’s and doctors' orders
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work independently

Skills

• Strong leadership skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in managing medication administration
• Knowledge of ADLs and MAR’s
