LPN School Based- Special Needs 1:1 - Alliance Middle School
Ambulatory male student with respiratory issues requires 1:1 LPN at school. Must be experienced in trach care, suctioning, and have recent ventilator experience. Student participates in all daily school activities.
Schedule
- Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday
- 7:10 am to 3:20 pm
- 24 hours per week
- No evenings
- No weekends
- No holidays
- No summers
About the role
Providing nursing care and health support to children in school settings. Administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and managing basic health care needs. Supporting the prevention of communicable diseases and implementing protocols to maintain a safe, healthy environment. Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, school staff, and families to ensure the best care for each child. Handling confidential information and maintaining compliance with HIPAA laws and regulations. Staying informed about medication protocols, school health practices, and other related nursing guidelines.
Requirements
- Current LPN license through the Ohio Board of Nursing
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Basic knowledge of communicable disease prevention and medication administration
- Must have or be willing to obtain current BLS/CPR and/or First Aid certification
