1:1 LPN for Schools

About the role

The Caswood Group has an immediate opening for a Licensed Practical Nurse to support a student at a local school. We are looking for an experienced LPN comfortable working with elementary school-aged children to work every school day, starting immediately through end of June 2027. This position follows the school calendar.

Schedule

• 8:30am–3:30pm Monday–Friday (school days only)

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 nursing support for a student at a local school
• Work in an environment with young, active children with emotional or physical disabilities
• Assist with toileting

Requirements

• Minimum of four years' experience as an LPN
• Experience working with students with emotional or physical disabilities
• Current NYS Nursing License, active and in good standing
• Meets professional nursing standards and pertinent local, state, and federal requirements
• Federal background check, drug screen, agility test, physical statement/annual health update, MMR & PPD
• Strong clinical communication skills
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and record keeping
• Must be reliable, on time, and professional

Physical Requirements

• Must possess reliable transportation and be able to travel to and from work
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds
• Must be able to sufficiently move equipment without assistance
• Must be able to sustain prolonged walking, standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, and twisting
• Must be able to sit and climb stairs
• Must be able to function in a wide variety of environments which may involve exposure to allergens and other various conditions, such as possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and infectious diseases
