About the role
PSI is seeking a compassionate LPN to join our team as a School Health Permanent Float. You'll provide essential health services to students in public, private, and charter schools, serving Kindergarten through 12th Grade students. As a Permanent Float, you'll play a key role in supporting student health and wellness, ensuring that children have access to proper care throughout the school day.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care and health support to children in school settings.
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and manage basic health care needs.
- Support the prevention of communicable diseases and implement protocols to maintain a safe, healthy environment.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, school staff, and families to ensure the best care for each child.
- Handle confidential information and maintain compliance with HIPAA laws and regulations.
- Stay informed about medication protocols, school health practices, and other related nursing guidelines.
Requirements
- Current LPN license through the Ohio Board of Nursing (required).
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain confidentiality (required).
- Experience in school health or pediatric nursing is preferred, but not necessary.
- Basic knowledge of communicable disease prevention and medication administration (required).
- Must have or be willing to obtain current BLS/CPR and/or First Aid certification (depending on position).
Qualifications
- Current LPN license through the Ohio Board of Nursing (required).
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain confidentiality (required).
