Day in the Life of a LPN/RN
- Follow policies and procedures to correctly identify patients and administer medication per the medical provider's orders.
- Dispense daily and take-home medication at the dosing window.
- Care for coordination with clinical and medical staff for continuity of patient care.
- Maintain and complete accurate patient documentation including assessing for impairment.
- Ensure medication count is accurate and completed daily.
- Follow compliance policies and procedures around documentation practices and expectations.
- Participate in nursing team meetings and cross-treatment meetings.
- Connect with patients, offering true empathy and a listening ear to those struggling.
Education And Experience Requirements
- Licensed Practical or Registered Nurse License issued in the state in which they will be practicing or a multi-state compact status license.
- Licenses should be in good standing, unencumbered, and active. Disciplinary actions documented on any license will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
- 3+ years of nursing experience is preferred.
- Strong phlebotomy skills, experience drawing blood on collapsed veins is a plus.
- Active and current CPR or BLS certification is preferred.
Schedule
- Monday-Friday: 4:45am–1:00pm
- Rotating Saturday: 5:30am–10:30am
