About the role
The Licensed Practical Nurse is a licensed health care provider who provides nursing care under the direction of the RN and/or provider. The LPN contributes to the smooth operation of the practice by attending to clinical tasks and patient care. The LPN works collaboratively with all other staff to assist the patient and facilitate a successful interaction within the practice team. This position reflects and carries forward the mission and goals of the practice both internally and throughout the community.
This position will be fully remote after conclusion of onsite training which may take 8+ weeks (decision to move fully remote based on the completion of training in conjunction with management).
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care under the direction of the RN and/or provider
- Attend to clinical tasks and patient care
- Collaborate with all staff to assist patients and facilitate successful interactions
- Demonstrate knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology
- Understand and adhere to healthcare systems, regulations, policies, and functions
- Follow documentation standards
- Operate and manage medical equipment, supplies, and materials needed for treatment
- Read and follow written and oral medical orders
- Initiate appropriate emergency procedures
- Handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Requirements
- Current Licensure as a Practical Nurse in the State of New York
- Current Basic Life Support certification
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology
- Familiarity with healthcare systems, regulations, policies, and functions
- Understanding of documentation standards
- Experience in a physician office (preferred)

$18.50 - $32.00 per hour, based on experience
