About the role
Provides essential nursing care by assessing residents upon admission and ongoing, communicating significant changes to the interdisciplinary team, and accurately documenting assessments.
Responsibilities
- Participates in care planning, updates plans based on interventions, and ensures implementation of nursing orders, treatments, and medication administration in a safe, timely manner.
- Uses critical thinking to monitor residents, identify behavioral or health changes, and notify physicians appropriately using SBARR.
- Maintains professionalism during crises, assists with residents' activities of daily living, and ensures care plan adherence.
- Completes required continuing education to stay current with best practices and may perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Licensed Practical Nurse license
- IV and CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience in long-term care preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills
Pay
Hourly pay range of $26.96 to $43.95.
