LPN - Pulmonary Medicine Office

About the role

LPN position in a full-time Pulmonary Medicine office in Albany, NY. Under the direction of the attending physician, RN, Lead LPN, or practice coordinator, the LPN will provide direct patient care and assist in clinical functions to all providers.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and accurately record patient's vital signs
• Document components of patient's history
• Communicate in an open and appropriate manner with patients, visitors, and staff
• Participate in in-office procedures under the direction and supervision of a licensed healthcare provider
• Perform diagnostic CLIA waived testing
• Perform venipuncture to obtain blood for lab testing
• Prescription call-backs per scope of practice
• Prep patient's chart for pertinent clinical information
• Maintain inventory of supplies and keep patient examination rooms stocked
• Adhere to AMC's regulatory compliance issues

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/G.E.D. - required
• LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - State Licensure Upon Hire - required
• Previous experience in a patient care setting - preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from physicians, patients, family members, or other employees within the work setting

$54,690.00 - $82,035.00
