About the role

The community is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join their team. The primary responsibility is to provide nursing care in accordance with the client's plan of care, which includes comprehensive health and psychosocial evaluations, monitoring of the client’s condition, health promotion, and coordination of services.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in accordance with the client's plan of care
• Comprehensive health and psychosocial evaluation
• Maintain and monitor the client’s condition
• Health promotion and prevention coordination
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations regarding resident services and care
• Demonstrate good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Organize tasks effectively and manage time efficiently
• Communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
• Handle multiple priorities and delegate tasks as needed
• Show dedication to seniors and their well-being
• Work nights and weekends

Requirements

• Two years LPN experience required
• Two years experience in assisted living or in a nursing home
• Licensed Practical Nurse license in good standing
• Ability to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
• Good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Effective organization, time management, and communication skills
• A dedication to seniors and their well-being
• Ability to work nights and weekends

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program
• Current licensure as a licensed practical nurse in the state of employment

Skills

• Strong clinical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of senior living and care preferences
