LPN Procedure Nurse - Dermatology - Full-Time

About the Role

A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for direct and/or indirect patient care under the direction of an RN or provider (physician, NP, PA, or other APP). This position performs treatments and procedures in Erlanger Medical Group’s outpatient departments, adhering to scope of practice and industry standards. The LPN contributes to a team-based care model, coordinating patient care, supporting self-management and behavior change, and participating in quality improvement and performance evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Administer pharmacological drugs as ordered.
• Perform procedures and operate equipment necessary for patient care.
• Prepare patients, conduct procedures, provide wound care, and deliver post-procedure care.
• Demonstrate knowledge and skills to provide age-appropriate care across the lifespan.
• Assess and interpret patient data to identify needs relative to age-specific requirements.
• Follow unit policies and procedures within the Nursing Scope of Practice.
• Participate in the practice’s quality improvement processes.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current licensure to practice practical nursing in Tennessee.
• BLS certification completed prior to starting and maintained thereafter.
• Knowledge of general nursing principles, organizational policies, and current trends in healthcare.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in an outpatient or office practice setting.
• Certification in a specialty area.
