About the role
Provide essential nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting as a PRN Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care under supervision, including administering medications and treatments
- Assess residents' health status and respond to emergent situations
- Document resident interactions, care, and outcomes accurately
- Collaborate effectively with residents, families, healthcare providers, and interdisciplinary teams
- Counsel residents and families on prevention and treatment plans
- Maintain confidentiality and clear communication
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program; associate degree preferred
- Current unencumbered LPN license and multi-state licensure privileges
- Experience or clinical training across the lifespan; minimum of 400 hours as LPN preferred
- Knowledge of resident education principles and ability to perform testing and evaluate data
- Competency in IV therapy (if applicable), and ongoing CEU and certification maintenance
