About the role

Provide essential nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting as a PRN Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional nursing care under supervision, including administering medications and treatments
  • Assess residents' health status and respond to emergent situations
  • Document resident interactions, care, and outcomes accurately
  • Collaborate effectively with residents, families, healthcare providers, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Counsel residents and families on prevention and treatment plans
  • Maintain confidentiality and clear communication
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program; associate degree preferred
  • Current unencumbered LPN license and multi-state licensure privileges
  • Experience or clinical training across the lifespan; minimum of 400 hours as LPN preferred
  • Knowledge of resident education principles and ability to perform testing and evaluate data
  • Competency in IV therapy (if applicable), and ongoing CEU and certification maintenance
