Optum NV is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Adult Medicine team in Pahrump, NV. This position does not require weekends, nights, or holidays.
Responsibilities
- Collect and document patient information, including vital signs, chief complaints, medication reviews, allergies, health risk screenings, and extended care benefits.
- Provide clinical interventions such as drug administration, treatments, and procedures as ordered by the provider and within scope of practice.
- Assist with phone calls, messages, and determining best actions to resolve patient needs in collaboration with the team.
- Monitor patients with chronic diseases and extended care benefits, including verification of eligibility and service status.
- Anticipate provider needs for patient exams or treatments in collaboration with RNs.
- Assist RNs with coordination and completion of patient care plans.
- Support coworkers, including training medical assistants and assisting in other areas as needed.
- Ensure compliance with laboratory QC management, waived testing, crash cart maintenance, narcotic counts, and other clinic requirements.
- Gather medical information to present cases to ITDs as required.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Current, unrestricted NV LPN license or temporary NV LPN license with the ability to obtain a permanent license upon expiration of the temporary license.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- 1+ years of clinical experience in primary care.
Preferred Qualifications
- Electronic medical records (EMR) experience.
- Immunization and injection experience.
- Charge or leadership experience.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Pay
The hourly pay for this role ranges from $20 - $36 per hour based on full-time employment, depending on factors such as local labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
