Optum NV is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Adult Medicine team in Pahrump, NV. This position does not require weekends, nights, or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Collect and document patient information, including vital signs, chief complaints, medication reviews, allergies, health risk screenings, and extended care benefits.
• Provide clinical interventions such as drug administration, treatments, and procedures as ordered by the provider and within scope of practice.
• Assist with phone calls, messages, and determining best actions to resolve patient needs in collaboration with the team.
• Monitor patients with chronic diseases and extended care benefits, including verification of eligibility and service status.
• Anticipate provider needs for patient exams or treatments in collaboration with RNs.
• Assist RNs with coordination and completion of patient care plans.
• Support coworkers, including training medical assistants and assisting in other areas as needed.
• Ensure compliance with laboratory QC management, waived testing, crash cart maintenance, narcotic counts, and other clinic requirements.
• Gather medical information to present cases to ITDs as required.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current, unrestricted NV LPN license or temporary NV LPN license with the ability to obtain a permanent license upon expiration of the temporary license.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• 1+ years of clinical experience in primary care.

Preferred Qualifications

• Electronic medical records (EMR) experience.
• Immunization and injection experience.
• Charge or leadership experience.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Pay

The hourly pay for this role ranges from $20 - $36 per hour based on full-time employment, depending on factors such as local labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
