About the Role

Maxim Healthcare is hiring Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to work one-on-one with a pediatric patient, 9–12 hours a day. Training is available for new or inexperienced nurses.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient/client care and/or services provided to client(s) receiving contracted services, as required
  • Initiate the plan of care when directed and request from the prescriber any necessary revisions as patient status and needs change
  • Incorporate therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions based on patient diagnosis and established goals
  • Intervene as applicable in response to changes in patient/client condition and report such changes to the appropriate physician or supervisor
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, as well as monitor and document effectiveness of intervention
  • Review plan of care and program protocols and identify areas for healthcare teaching/education, care coordination, goal setting, and discharge planning needs, as applicable

Requirements

  • Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) License for the state in which the nurse practices
  • Current Health Certificate (per facility LPN contract or state regulation)
  • Current PPD or Chest X-Ray
  • Current BLS card
  • One year prior LPN experience preferred
