Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care for residents of all ages in long term care under supervision of RN, APP, or physician.
- Demonstrate knowledge of nursing principles and practice within full scope of nursing expertise, utilizing age‑ and population‑specific standards per care plan.
- Perform testing to evaluate resident status and provide needed care.
- Recognize problems, recommend solutions, and respond effectively in emergent situations.
- Ensure health, comfort, and safety of residents.
- Contribute to resident assessment and administer medications or treatments as ordered.
- Provide technical support to healthcare professionals as needed.
- Document resident interactions and outcomes related to care, medication, behavior, activity, and dietary.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with residents, health‑care providers, and the public.
